The is a work of art. From the steering handle all the way down to where rubber meets the pavement. You probably will not find a better made scooter. You also probably won’t find one that looks as good. until we got our McLaren Scooter, I thought that they were all basically the same. Boy was I wrong. This scooter has added benefits (which we will discuss later). And, you just have to feel how well it is constructed to really appreciate it.
Who knows when the first Scooter was invented. I imagine it was during the depression when children had to amuse themselves. They used crates and discarded wheels to do something to have fun. The above picture is of a scooter made in the 1950’s Boy how things have changed since then. This model has a “One Size Fits All” mentality. There is no adjustment on the height of the steering mechanism. No shock absorber. It does have a braking system ( if you want to call it that ). It has an exposed back wheel that you could possibly step on. More than likely you would just get injured by it. So let’s look at the as a comparison.
First of all, it just looks more elegant. The one from the 50’s just looks like a stamped out piece of metal. Here we have spoke wheels, fenders on both tires, the rear fender also has a braking system built into it, a front end shock absorber, adjustable height on the steering mechanism, and this scooter can also easily be folded up for storage and transportation.
McLaren has a vision, and that vision is to make things better. They have definitely done that with the McS03 Scooter. This isn’t your 1950’s scooter, that’s for sure. If you would like to get your very own, just click on this link: .
